The estate The Old Tower In the heart of Roussillon, where vineyards meet the sea, Vincent Cantié in Collioure—who founded the estate in 1982—and Christine Campadieu in Banyuls have joined forces, continuing the region’s winemaking tradition. The vineyard of The Old Tower covers a total of 13 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 40 years, situated in a majestic setting at elevations of up to 220 meters above sea level.

Grenache reigns supreme on the Côte Vermeille, where it is the only grape variety authorized for producing Banyuls wines, whereas in Collioure, other grape varieties enrich the wines’ aromatic profile: Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Maccabeu, and Roussanne.

On predominantly schist-based soil, the vineyards are laid out in terraces—particularly in Banyuls—where all work is done by hand, and the vines are managed using sustainable practices inspired by organic standards and with respect for the environment.

The La Tour Vieille estate produces white, red, and rosé Collioure wines, as well as two Banyuls wines—one white and one red. The lineup is impressive, of unquestionable quality, and transports us to its vineyards with emotion and admiration. A fine ambassador for the wines of Roussillon.
