Château de Jau rouge 2015
Médaille d'Or
Gilbert & Gaillard
“Deep color with violet hues. A spicy, smoky nose with notes of licorice, stone fruit, and spices. Supple on the palate, it concludes its distinctly Mediterranean aromatic journey with a full-bodied, dense minerality. Beautiful volume envelops a finely crafted tension.” (Le Guide du Vin 2017 - Gilbert & Gaillard)

About the estate:
All that remains of the building constructed in the 12th century by Cistercian monks is the magnificent tower nestled against the rock face. Jean and Bernard Dauré purchased the estate in 1974. The mid-19th-century silkworm farm now houses the Contemporary Art Space, which is located next to one of the first winemaker-run restaurants established in France, open during the summer. The vineyard covers 90 hectares.
