"An orange wine like a sunset in the South of France!"

An orange-gold color and distinctive, indulgent aromas of black tea, gingerbread, and honey, enhanced by a hint of orange zest. On the palate, you'll discover a bouquet of white flowers, a touch of orange peel, guava, and mango. An explosion of flavors to be enjoyed with an aperitif dinner!

Rated estate (2018 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the estate:

All that remains of the building constructed in the 12th century by Cistercian monks is the magnificent tower nestled against the rock. Jean and Bernard Dauré purchased the estate in 1974. The mid-19th century silkworm farm now houses the Contemporary Art Space, which neighbors one of the first wine restaurants created in France, open during the summer. The vineyard covers 90 hectares.

A beautiful golden yellow color. A nose of ripe citrus fruits, especially oranges. The palate is pleasant with a hint of sweetness on the finish.

Note and opinion by Mr. ANTOINE P. Published on 12/19/2024

Very disappointed, none of the bitterness characteristic of an orange wine, lots of sugar, little aroma, some fruit but very lost in the sweetness, meh, even snooty. Tasted again on 12/19/24 and still just as disappointed...
