“An orange wine like a sunset in the South of France!”

A golden-orange hue and distinctive, rich aromas of black tea, gingerbread, and honey, accented by a hint of orange zest. On the palate, you’ll discover a bouquet of white flowers, with notes of orange peel, guava, and mango. An explosion of flavors best enjoyed with a cocktail reception!

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2018 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

All that remains of the building constructed in the 12th century by Cistercian monks is the magnificent tower clinging to the rock face. Jean and Bernard Dauré purchased the estate in 1974. The mid-19th-century silkworm farm now houses the Contemporary Art Space, which sits next to one of the first winegrower-run restaurants established in France, open during the summer. The vineyard covers 90 hectares.

A beautiful golden yellow color. The nose offers notes of ripe citrus, particularly orange. The palate is pleasant, with a hint of sweetness on the finish.

Review by Mr. ANTOINE P. Posted on 12/19/2024

Very disappointed—no bitterness typical of an orange wine, lots of sugar, little aroma, some fruit but completely overshadowed by the sweetness. Meh, or even a bit pretentious. Tried it again on 12/19/24 and still just as disappointed...
