Sarda-Malet Estate
Domaine Sarda Malet, located south of Perpignan in Roussillon on the right bank of the Têt River, has vineyards spread across gently sloping hillsides, most of which face south/southwest, and thus benefits from an exceptional geographical and climatic location. Domaine Sarda Malet boasts several key assets: clay-limestone soils, a Syrah and Mourvèdre vineyard planted on red Tertiary Güntz, and vines over thirty years old.

For the white wines, Roussanne, Marsanne, Malvoisie, and Viognier are planted, in addition to 50-year-old Grenache Blanc and Macabeo. At Domaine Sarda Malet, the terroir and its traditional practices are respected: sustainable viticulture, plowing, treatment with sulfur and lime wash, removal of surface roots without herbicides, and green harvesting even after short pruning. The harvest date is determined based on balance (alcohol content, acidity, and tasting of the berries). Yields do not exceed 40 hectoliters per hectare for Domaine Sarda Malet wines, dropping as low as 20 hectoliters for the Syrah and Mourvèdre from the Mailloles terroir and to 15 hectoliters for the white wine made from Roussanne and Marsanne. Bottling is done without fining or filtration, resulting in high-quality Côtes du Roussillon appellation wines and Rivesaltes wines with an impeccable reputation.
