James Suckling
"A perfect blend of rich flavor, freshness, and easy digestibility!"
“A well-balanced, lively, and vibrant red wine that reveals aromas of wild berries, wild herbs, damp earth, and hints of baking spices on the nose. Medium-bodied, it features silky tannins. Its refined texture is accompanied by flavors of crisp berries in a peppery finish.” (James Suckling 2026)

About the wine:
Finally, La Compagnie des Papillons has a slightly greener, smokier aroma and is even more refreshing on the palate!
About the estate:
Arthur and Eddy Bertrand arrived in Belesta in 2020 to take over the estate from Eric and Lèia Monné, the former owners. Hailing from Provence, the two brothers had long dreamed of taking over a small, family-run estate in the Mediterranean region. Le Clot de l'Oum was the obvious choice for them, comprising 12 hectares of vines over 20 years old. The major advantage? A high-altitude location, between 300 and 600 meters. Passionate about the terroirs of Roussillon, they express in their wines the distinctive characteristics of Mediterranean grape varieties on soils of schist, granite, and gneiss. In the cellar, sulfur is used sparingly. They work without fining or filtration, using indigenous yeasts.
