New vintage, 2012 was rated: RVF 14/20
Made from old vines and a long fermentation, the Anne de la Bigerne cuvée is a Chignin that exudes beautiful notes of white flowers and fruit on the nose, with fullness and beautiful complexity on the palate, both round and mineral, with great freshness. A white wine that calls for grilled fish!

Rated estate (2021 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Jean-François Quénard took over from his father in 1987, and the original five hectares have been expanded through leasing to reach 17.5 hectares today, ten of which have been farmed organically for six years (which should soon allow for certification for the reds). The whites are refined, mineral, pure, and delightfully consistent. They enjoy ideal maturity, without excess, and great finesse. The reds are full-bodied and generous, and need to be decanted or left to age. The rest of the range is of the same caliber, always with good texture and body. The quality is exemplary and continues to improve. The newly arrived crémant stands out in its category. A sure bet!

Wine rating (2014 guide) 14/20 (2012 vintage) (Good wine)
Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
There are many Quenards and Quénards in the village of Chignin, but Jean-François stands out. We salute the quality of his work and the consistency of his wide range of wines, which are refined each year with small touches and constitute a benchmark in the changing Savoyard wine landscape. The reds have improved greatly and are now of a very high standard. Richly endowed and vinified using only indigenous yeasts, the whites maintain a perfect balance on the palate. Looking to the future, Jean-François Quénard has restructured his vineyard, which is currently undergoing organic certification. The estate has been passed on to his daughter Anne-Sophie, who studied in Beaune and Changins. Her first name now appears on the cellar and on the labels.
