“A well-balanced, juicy, and lively Chardonnay. On the nose, it offers notes of apples, spiced pears, and a hint of baking spices. Medium-bodied with lively acidity. Silky texture with delicious fruit at its core and a well-structured development. A flavorful, long finish.” (James Suckling 2025).

4-Star-Rated Estate (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaegue have elevated this estate to the pinnacle of Cahors through meticulous viticulture and precise winemaking. The 27 hectares (25 of which are planted with red grapes) are divided into three plots spread across two of the appellation’s finest soil types, notably the famous third terrace. One is clay-limestone and produces wines of great finesse. The other consists of pebbles mixed with reddish sand, ideal for producing more powerful wines.

About the estate:

Rated Estate (2025 Guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)

About the wine:

A lovely way to get around the fact that Cahors can only be a red wine, this Vin de France Chardonnay from the Cahors region is creamy and ripe. Tropical fruit flavors and balanced acidity result in a rich wine that will be ready to drink starting in 2025.
