“A lovely vintage resulting from 18 months of aging in large oak casks, offering rich aromas of stewed red berries, raisins, and kirsch, complemented by balsamic notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and robust, with firm tannins and aging potential. A bottle with character that would pair beautifully with spicy cuisine. ” (Le Guide Hachette 2024). An exceptional Cahors!

About the wine:
A wine of great character, intense and full-bodied, with powerful tannins, a robust structure, and rich aromas; dense, yet bearing Cadurcian hallmarks of elegance, finesse, and texture. Great potential.
About the estate:
Surrounded by a talented team, Germain Croisille embodies the renewal of Cahors, with a modern approach that has moved away from the use of new oak. The wines, certified organic, have grown in finesse, approachability, depth, and expression of terroir. Today, they have reached a remarkable level, with a fresh and distinctive style. Rated estate (2024 guide) Cité
About the estate:
The appellation has seen a new generation of winemakers, passionate about the Malbec grape, take the reins. Without turning their backs on the great Cahors wines of yesteryear—which age with unflinching character—Cahors’ new winemakers craft the grape in such a way that it offers an intensely floral profile. Germain Croisille, who has transformed the estate founded by his parents, has mastered the technique to the point of producing vintages of rare subtlety, while remaining true to the classic style of Malbec from the Causse. Subtle extraction and deep ripeness result in wines that are ready to drink now yet capable of aging.
