"Simply a great white wine (The RVF Guide 2025)"
" It reminds me of Graves—the combination of oak, malolactic fermentation, and citrus. Full-bodied but not heavy, woody but not chaotic. Complex and succulent, with a long, persistent fruit finish. A real find! It is certainly a bit mysterious in terms of appellation and grape variety." (Jancis Robinson 2024)

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rating (2023 guide) 92+/100 (Outstanding wine)
About wine:
The 2019 Montus Blanc Sec reveals a complex and fresh bouquet with aromas of lemon oil, mirabelle plum, mandarin orange, spring flowers, and crushed stone. Medium-bodied to full-bodied with a delicate and taut mid-palate, it is flawless and layered, concluding with an elegant and penetrating phenolic finish. This wine is ideal for gastronomic purposes, but will benefit from three to five years of aging before revealing its full potential.

Rated estate (2023 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About wine:
Pure Petit Courbu, the 2019 Pacherenc develops a subtle, glycerine-rich, full-bodied and long expression; quite simply a great white wine, imbued with classicism, a successful gamble on the distinction and evolutionary capacity of a rare grape variety.
About the estate:
Alain Brumont develops his personality through a style that has made Madiran wines famous throughout the world under the Château Montus label, which he bought in 1980. Often bucking conventional wisdom, Brumont's vintages reflect his great freedom in interpreting terroirs with yellow and red clay subsoils, ranging from 20 to 40%. Tannat is featured in the château's three wines, Prestige, XL, Montus and La Tyre, and certainly delivers the most spectacular profile of this difficult-to-handle Pyrenean grape.

About wine:
The generous Blanc Sec 2019 unfolds with aromas of honeysuckle, ripe pear, lemon peel, and white peach. Chamomile and cedar add additional nuances. Concentrated and well-balanced by bright acidity, the medium-bodied 2019 hits the palate with a high concentration of flavors and good energy. An elegant finish rounds it all off.
