About the estate:
Located in Ammerschwihr, a major wine-growing village northwest of Colmar, this winery celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2014. Its 17th-century cellars house old oak barrels that are still in use. It combines a wine merchant operation with a biodynamically farmed vineyard.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2023 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
The sweetness is much better integrated in this version of the Kaefferkopf, which is made exclusively from Gewürztraminer: its off-dry profile, enhanced by notes of spice, angelica, and candied citrus, gives it a perfectly balanced character.
