"With a golden hue, the 2014 Riesling Grand Cru Pfingstberg offers a very pure, fresh, flinty bouquet that is also rich, concentrated, and wonderfully expressive [...]. The wine is full-bodied, rich, and intense, with a creamy texture that is well-concentrated and juicy, yet lively and fresh, with a beautiful mineral vitality. It is a powerful, well-structured, and very persistent grand cru with plenty of minerality, finesse, and tension; there is also a beautiful grip in this concentrated and extremely long finish . Superb aging potential.” (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2017 guide) 17,5/20 (Reference wine)
About the wine:
Beautiful purity on the palate, with subtle salty bitterness, maturity, and delicacy; it’s still too young, but it will rise a notch above the Clos-Liebenberg.

About the wine:
The Pfingstberg Grand Cru Riesling is a standout in 2014—complex and full-bodied, with a beautifully refined finish.
About the estate:
The work of Jean-Paul and Marie Zusslin, who carry on the family winemaking tradition dating back to 1691, has been exemplary for several years now. Based in Orschwihr, on a beautiful vineyard, they form a passionate, charismatic duo dedicated to a job well done. And they’re taking on more and more projects: designing a new bottle, installing dozens of beehives and birdhouses across their vineyards...Each has their role: Marie handles marketing, while Jean-Paul works in the vineyards and the cellar. Biodynamic viticulture since 1997, meticulous winemaking, and precise aging summarize the work of this leading estate, where a plot-by-plot approach is omnipresent, even in the crémants. The excellence of the range suggests a rise in our rankings!
