"Golden in color, the 2014 Riesling Grand Cru Pfingstberg has a very pure, fresh bouquet of flint, but is also rich, concentrated, and wonderfully expressive [...]. The wine is full-bodied, rich, and intense, with a creamy texture that is well-concentrated and juicy, but also lively and fresh with a beautiful mineral vitality. It is a powerful, well-structured and very persistent grand cru with lots of salt, finesse and tension; there is also a beautiful grip in this concentrated and extremely long finish. Superb aging potential. " (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)

About wine:
Beautiful purity on the palate, subtle salty bitterness, maturity and delicacy. It is too young but will rise a notch higher than the Clos-Liebenberg.

About wine:
The Pfingstberg Riesling Grand Cru is a great success in 2014, complex and dense, with a beautifully chiseled finish.
About the estate:
The work of Jean-Paul and Marie Zusslin, who are continuing the family winemaking tradition that began in 1691, has been exemplary for several years now. Based in Orschwihr, on a beautiful vineyard, they form a passionate, charismatic duo who are committed to a job well done. And they have many projects in the pipeline: designing a new bottle, installing dozens of beehives and nesting boxes in the vineyards...Each has their role: Marie handles marketing, Jean-Paul works in the vineyards and the cellar. Biodynamic viticulture since 1997, careful vinification, and precise aging sum up the work of this benchmark estate, where the spirit of the vineyard is omnipresent, even in the crémants. The excellence of the range may well lead to a rise in our rankings!
