“A pale yellow color, with fine, persistent bubbles. A distinct nose of ripe fruit, complemented by a round, creamy palate with notes of apricot, enlivened on the finish by a hint of bitterness.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019). A real success!

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2019 guide) Mentioned (Successful wine)

Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the wine:

A pale yellow color, with fine, persistent bubbles. A distinct nose of ripe fruit, complemented by a round, creamy palate with notes of apricot, enlivened on the finish by a hint of bitterness.

About the estate:

Located in Ammerschwihr, a major wine-growing village northwest of Colmar, this winery celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2014. Its 17th-century cellars house old oak barrels that are still in use. It combines a wine merchant operation with a biodynamically farmed vineyard.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 89/100

Rated estate (2020 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)

About the wine:

Green apple and lemon notes are subtle yet distinct on this wine’s fresh nose. Its lightness and lively freshness carry over to the effervescent palate, where the bubbles burst to reveal hints of yeast and sweetness. The finish is dry and crisp.

Rated estate (2019 guide) Recommended

About the wine:

This wine has pronounced notes of green apple and green guava peel, but not much complexity. Fruity and easy-drinking, with a hint of sweetness. Best enjoyed now.
