Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2019) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Rated Estate (2022 Guide) Award-Winning Wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the wine:
The very low yields certainly account for the full-bodied and vigorous character of this Chénas. The tannins are still quite firm and will require a bit of patience to develop more roundness. Overall, however, it is quite indulgent, with charming aromas of ripe black fruit.
About the estate:
Located on the border between Burgundy and Beaujolais, this château takes its name from Sieur Bonnet, a councilman of the city of Mâcon, who had a country manor built here in 1630, where Lamartine later stayed. Acquired by the Perrachon family in 1973, the estate comprises 22 hectares of vineyards. Pierre-Yves Perrachon, who has led the estate since 1988, was joined in 2013 by his daughter Charlotte, an enologist. He has also partnered with a winemaker from the Mâconnais region to complement his operations with a wine trading company, Bourgogne Sélect.

About the wine:
It may be a light red, but it reveals lively notes of blackberries and well-balanced acidity. The slightly sap-like finish calls for a nice picnic. Best enjoyed now.

Almost a little too complex for what you'd expect... But on its own, the wine is excellent.
