About the wine:
Favorite With this same cuvée—the 2017 vintage—Benjamin Passot presents a beautifully crafted 2019, made from old vines over 80 years old. After 10 months in barrel, this Juliénas displays woody notes (cocoa) that blend harmoniously with black fruit, complemented by a full-bodied palate with pleasant depth, structured by fine tannins.
About the estate:
As a young winemaker, Benjamin Passot gained his first experience in winemaking in Vosne-Romanée. At the same time, he developed his own estate and began farming a few arpents of land in Juliénas in 2017. He has since acquired vineyards in Chénas and Chiroubles.

This wine has a lot of body. The oak is still noticeable and needs time to integrate. Best to keep it in the cellar for now.
