About the wine:
Favorite the 2017 vintage of this same cuvée, Benjamin Passot presents a beautifully crafted 2019, made from vines over 80 years old. After 10 months in barrel, this Juliénas displays woody notes (cocoa) that blend harmoniously with black fruit, followed by a full-bodied palate with pleasant depth, structured by fine tannins.
About the estate:
A young winemaker, Benjamin Passot gained his first experience in winemaking in Vosne-Romanée. At the same time, he developed his own estate and settled on a few acres in Juliénas starting in 2017. Since then, he has acquired vineyards in Chénas and Chiroubles.

This wine has a lot of body. The oak is still noticeable and needs time to integrate. Best kept in the cellar for now.
