"Couvent des Thorins often shows itself to be more about finesse than power: the whole is serious and pleasant." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2017 - RVF). A beautiful vintage based on the balance between maturity and acidity: very representative of the appellation!

About the estate:
The ambitious and consistent renovation of the vineyard and cellar decided upon by Jean-Jacques Parinet is now yielding the expected results. Progress has been rapid, and production continues to dominate the appellation. He can rely on a talented team, including Édouard Parinet, their cellar master Brice Lafon, and their communications manager Morgane Chambriard. He is a key player for the appellation and the region, a formidable ambassador who creates value and image in France and around the world.

About wine:
Couvent des Thorins often shows itself to be more about finesse than power: the whole is serious and pleasant.
About the estate:
Since its acquisition by the Parinet family in 2009, this vast estate has invested heavily in human resources in order to rejuvenate the Moulin-à-Vent, as Château des Jacques did in its day. In a modern Gamay style, with long and well-managed aging in wood, the numerous single-vineyard cuvées express the complexity and diversity of the soils. With 2016 came the estate's first white vines (4.5 hectares) in the Mâcon and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations under the name Roc des Boutires.
