Le Figaro
"Opaque ruby. Vibrant aromas of cherry and dark berries with mineral accents capture notes of succulent herbs, Moroccan spices, vanilla, and candied flowers. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering densely layered flavors of black raspberry and cherry-cola complemented by hints of five-spice powder and mocha. Long and spicy, with a resonant character of black fruit and velvety tannins that gradually fade into the wine’s juicy fruit.” (Vinous A. Galloni) Please note: limited quantities available.

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated 16.5/20 (Benchmark wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide) 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the wine:
Gothic style, finely crafted. A refined, fruit-driven profile that embodies a noble austerity. Remarkably long and creamy. An uncompromising style. A lovely wine.
About the estate:
The ambitious and well-planned renovation of the vineyard and winery initiated by Jean-Jacques Parinet is now yielding the expected results. Progress has been remarkable, and the estate continues to lead the appellation. He is supported by a talented team, including Édouard Parinet, their cellar master Brice Lafon, and their communications manager Morgane Chambriard. A key player for the appellation and the region, he is a formidable ambassador who builds value and enhances the region’s image both in France and around the world.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
In Les Vérillats, the rose reveals its old-world charm with a hint of graphite. Enveloped in a winey body, it embodies the terroir’s cool character. It will age gracefully.
About the estate:
Since its acquisition by the Parinet family in 2009, this vast estate has invested significant resources in revitalizing the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, much like Château des Jacques did in its day. In a modern Gamay style, with long, carefully managed aging in oak, the numerous single-vineyard cuvées express the complexity and diversity of the soils. In 2016, the estate’s first white wine vineyards (4.5 hectares) in the Mâcon and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations were introduced under the name Roc des Boutires.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 16/20
About the wine:
The climate of Les Vérillats, with its shallow, acidic granite soil, is reflected in this wine, which boasts a floral, light, and fragrant profile; its crisp, fresh palate brings out its spring-like character.
