“The perfect white wine for an aperitif!”

Crafted from a blend of wines sourced from various partner vineyards, Cheval Noir Bordeaux Blanc reflects the expertise and skill of our winemakers. Extensive research is conducted in the Bordeaux vineyards to identify the terroirs best suited for the ripening of the Sauvignon Blanc grape, which makes up the majority of Cheval Noir Bordeaux Blanc. Sémillon adds roundness to the wine. This Bordeaux is a fresh white wine, best enjoyed young with an appetizer, shellfish, or white meat.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

The name refers to the powerful black horses used in the 19th century for the grape harvest, and it became a brand in 1895—the oldest in the Bordeaux region. In 1937, it was acquired by the venerable wine merchant Mähler-Besse, founded in 1892 and co-owner of Château Palmer in Margaux. The estate covers 4.5 hectares.

Still a bit young but already very pleasant, lively, and perfect for shellfish, for example
