Le Figaro
“The 2015 vintage will rank among the estate’s greatest successes. Its distinguished character, the precision of its aging, and the quality of its tannins will allow it to age for at least twenty years. ” (The Guide to the Best Wines of France 2018 – RVF). Don’t get hung up on its appellation; this Bordeaux Supérieur rivals the greatest Bordeaux grands crus classés in blind tastings.

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2018 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the wine:
A harmonious nose, expressing ripe fruit, subtle smoky oak, and notes of eucalyptus and freesia; on the palate, it is warm and deep, with fruit, firm tannins that will need to mellow, and freshness.
About the estate:
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot are part of a generation of business leaders who became winemakers some twenty years ago. They have significantly enhanced the potential of this estate, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. With the guidance of Michel Rolland, they produce red and white wines of exemplary quality and consistency, which rank them among the appellation’s leading producers.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2018 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
The 2015 Reignac is a deep purple-garnet color with a pronounced nose of black plums, blackcurrants, and black forest fruits, with hints of pencil shavings and licorice. Medium- to full-bodied, firm, and muscular with a textured, chewy backbone, it finishes with a long, earthy aftertaste.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 17,5/20 (Great wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the wine:
The 2015 vintage will rank among the estate’s greatest successes. Its distinguished character, the precision of its aging process, and the quality of its tannins will allow it to age for at least twenty years.
About the estate:
This year, Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot celebrated their 30th anniversary at the helm of Reignac. From the very beginning, the couple has gone all out to position their Bordeaux Supérieurs at the highest level, following the advice of Michel Roland. With the arrival of director Nicolas Lesaint in 2009, viticultural practices have evolved to align more closely with organic methods. This work is beginning to show in the wines, despite aging that is still somewhat intrusive. Extractions are more precise thanks to six small truncated-cone vats designed to reflect the specific characteristics of each vineyard plot.

Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (2019 guide) 16,5/20
About the wine:
This wine and Yves Vatelot have made headlines several times in the past, whether as a young vintage or after about ten years of aging. With a deep black color, the nose is powerful and complex. The wine is dense and charming, with substantial body that will take several years to mellow. Undoubtedly a great wine.
