"Last bottles available of this 100% Cabernet Franc glou-glou micro-cuvée!"

"An inviting bouquet of blueberries and spices. On the palate, the wine bounces with joy and shakes up any tired palate! A fruity, juicy, slender and thirst-quenching wine. Very good glou-glou" (Yves Beck 2022) - Le R de Reignac is a 6000-bottle micro-cuvée. Composed entirely of Cabernet Franc, this cuvée is synonymous with gourmandise, with the grape variety's distinctive acidity.

Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot celebrated 30 years at the helm of Reignac this year. From the outset, the couple have invested heavily in positioning their superior Bordeaux wines at the highest level, following the advice of Michel Roland. With the arrival of manager Nicolas Lesaint in 2009, the growing methods have evolved towards organic methods. This work is beginning to show in the wines, despite the still intrusive ageing process. Extractions are more precise, thanks to the six small truncated-cone vats used to match the plot of land.

Vert de Vin

Vert de Vin

Wine rated (2022 guide) 92/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is elegant, precise and offers a certain intensity and aromatic purity. Powerful yet delicate. Notes of bursting wild blackcurrant, boysenberry and, more lightly, Madagascar pepper are combined with small touches of bursting wild raspberry, small berries and fine hints of star anise, spices and a very discreet, almost sappy touch. The palate is fruity and well-balanced, with juiciness, minerality, good definition, aromatic purity, an acidic structure, greediness, elegant tension, fine guideline and an airy balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, cherry and, more lightly, fresh raspberry, combined with hints of lily and fine hints of dried almond, star anise, a discreet touch of colas, cherry blossom and a subtle hint of vanilla in the background. Good length, sapidity, harmony and greediness. Supple, elegant tannins.
