"This is the best Brane-Cantenac of the modern era and one of the major successes of the 2019 vintage! ~ Wine Advocate"
The nose is very refined, captivating, typically Médoc, the epitome of those fine wines that are born on gravelly soils. Blackcurrant bursts on the palate, it's a treat. Everything is tense and refined, the tannins are multiple and smooth. We are no longer talking about aromas, but bouquet. This is a wine of exceptional precision. The commitment to purity and finesse that is so evident at Brane-Cantenac becomes a textbook example in this 2019 vintage. A true Favorite can't wait to taste in 5, 10, 15 years... (Terre de Vins 2020) - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

A charming bouquet of great complexity. Bursting with black fruits, spices, floral and woody aromas. It expresses the perfect maturity of the vintage.

Generous and rich attack. Both very powerful and incredibly silky and velvety. Rich tannins and acidity give it superb balance. Impressively long finish.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
The wine owes its class and character to the heart of the Cantenac plateau and its deep siliceous and clayey gravel soils, which the vineyard shares largely with Rauzan-Ségla. Under the direction of Henri Lurton, it displays a rare consistency, with a suppleness and aromatic finesse all its own, making it sought after by wine lovers who appreciate a fine Margaux. In the most recent vintages, it seems to have taken another step forward in terms of the precision with which it expresses its terroir. The second wine, Baron-de-Brane, shares the same aesthetic with a suppleness in the tannins that should appeal to many restaurateurs and wine lovers.

About wine:
Exclusively composed of plots from the château located on deep gravel soils on the Brane plateau. Brane-Cantenac 2019 has proven to be brilliant and deserves attention. Bursting from the glass with aromas of wild berries, pencil shavings, violets, loamy soil, and cardamom, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acidity, ripe tannins, and a beautifully consistent fragrance profile. It retains all the elegance characteristic of the estate, but with an added dimension of depth and intensity. This is the best Brane-Cantenac of the modern era and one of the great successes of the 2019 vintage. 2029-2065

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
This second growth is managed with conviction and talent by Henri Lurton, who has both a beautiful terroir and modern facilities at his disposal. He produces very fine wines, in what could be described as the Margaux style, without heaviness or stylistic affectation, but with delicate fruit. The estate has just produced a series of impressive vintages that are propelling it to the top of the appellation. It's time to enjoy it.

About wine:
Brane-Cantenac 2019 is wild and exotic from the very first taste. The aromas alone are dazzling. Ripe black cherry, plum, spices, tobacco, new leather, menthol, and cinnamon make up this flamboyant Margaux. This 2019 is radiant and generous, while retaining a very classic structure. Here, the precision is simply unreal. In 2019, Brane-Cantenac is turning heads. It is the kind of wine that offers enormous quality for its relative value. 2029-2059

About wine:
The nose is enchanting, like a wood nymph. It delights us with notes of leather, dried flowers, and fresh red berries. What majesty on the palate! It is clear and caressing, its roundness not masking its freshness. A wine of great pedigree, twirling and dancing.

The Favorite doing well. Superbly sweet, deep, and complex nose. Full-bodied, smooth, slender, mellow, airy, and deep on the palate, with a thousand complexities. It's delicious.

About wine:
Brane Cantenac has been on fire lately! Vintage after vintage, it is truly at the peak of its art, and 2019 continues this momentum! I don't know what's better: the silky, supple, sensual, and sexy textures on the palate, or the complex array of aromas with all its roses, lilacs, violets, cherries, plums, tobacco leaves, earth, and herbs. The wine has texture, length, and purity, and has the capacity to age and evolve for around 30 years. This is a very fine wine from Brane Cantenac. 2027-2060
