"This is the best Brane-Cantenac of the modern era and one of the major successes of the 2019 vintage! ~ Wine Advocate "

"The nose is very fine, bewitching, typically Médoc, the paragon of these fine wines born on gravelly soils. Blackcurrant leaps onto the palate, a delight. Everything is in tension, in finesse, the tannins are multiple and suave. We no longer speak of aromas, but of bouquet. This is a wine of exceptional precision. The challenge of purity and lace so successfully met at Brane-Cantenac becomes a textbook case with this 2019. A true Favorite that we can't wait to taste in 5 years, 10 years, 15 years..." (Terre de Vins 2020) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (2020 guide) 4*Stars (Very high quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

The wine owes its class and character to the heart of the Cantenac plateau and its deep siliceous clay gravel, which the cru shares in large part with Rauzan-Ségla. Under the guidance of Henri Lurton, it asserts, with rare regularity, a suppleness and aromatic finesse all its own, making it sought-after by connoisseurs of wines in keeping with what is expected of a fine Margaux. In the latest vintages, it seems to have taken another step forward in the precision of its expression of terroir. The second wine, baron-de-brane, shares the same aesthetic with a suppleness of tannin that should appeal to many restaurateurs and connoisseurs.

Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

Exclusively composed of Château parcels located on the deep gravel soils of the Brane plateau. Brane-Cantenac 2019 proved brilliant and well worth a look. Bursting from the glass with aromas of wild berries, pencil shavings, violets, loamy soil and cardamom, it is medium- to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acidity, ripe tannins and a beautifully seamless perfume profile. Retaining all the elegance characteristic of the estate, but with an added dimension of depth and intensity. This is the best Brane-Cantenac of the modern era and one of the great success stories of the 2019 vintage. 2029-2065

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

This second-growth classified wine is managed with conviction and talent by Henri Lurton, who has both a very fine terroir and modern infrastructures at his disposal. He makes very fine wines, in what could be described as the Margaux signature, without heaviness or stylistic effects, but with delicate fruit. The cru has just delivered a series of impressive vintages, pushing it to the very top of the appellation. We must make the most of it.

About the wine:

Brane-Cantenac 2019 is wild and exotic from the very first taste. The aromas alone are dazzling. Very ripe black cherry, plum, spice, tobacco, new leather, menthol and cinnamon make up this flamboyant Margaux. This 2019 is radiant and generous, while retaining a very classic structure. The precision here is simply unreal. In 2019, Brane-Cantenac turns heads. This is the kind of wine that offers enormous quality for relative value. 2029-2059

About the wine:

The nose is enchanting, like a wood nymph. It delights us with notes of leather, dried flowers and fresh red berries. What majesty on the palate. It is limpid and caressing, its roundness not masking its freshness. A wine of great breed, twirling and dancing.

Favorite is doing well. Superb, sweet, deep, complex nose. Full-bodied, melting, slender, suave, airy and deep on the palate, made up of a thousand complexities. Delightful.

About the wine:

Brane Cantenac has been on fire lately! Vintage after vintage, he's truly at the top of his game, and 2019 continues the trend! I don't know which is better, the silky, supple, sensual and sexy textures on the palate, or the complex set of aromas with all its roses, lilacs, violets, cherries, plums, tobacco leaves, earth and herbs. The wine has texture, length and purity, and has the capacity to age and evolve for some 30 years. This is a very fine wine from Brane Cantenac. 2027-2060
