Poujeaux Castle
In the Middle Ages, Château Poujeaux was a seigneury under the jurisdiction of Latour Saint-Mambert, which would later become Château Latour. In the 19th century, the Château Poujeaux estate produced its first Bordeaux wines, thereby achieving true independence. Throughout the 20th century, the Theil family guided the destiny and reputation of Château Poujeaux until Philippe Cuvelier and his son Matthieu, already owners of Château Clos Fourtet, took over in 2008. They infused the estate with new energy and brought significant investments and a top-tier team to this Moulis-en-Médoc cru.

The Château Poujeaux vineyard stretches in a single block across the gravelly hills of Grand-Poujeaux, northeast of Moulis. The vineyard is planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The utmost care is taken during the harvest, the selection and sorting of the grapes, the winemaking, and the aging of Château Poujeaux’s wines. Produced under the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, Château Poujeaux’s wine is accompanied by a second wine from the same appellation: La Salle de Poujeaux, and a wine from the Haut-Médoc appellation: Haut de Poujeaux.
