Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion

Before becoming the estate’s owner, Patrice Pichet was its admiring neighbor. For years, he would regularly walk along its perimeter before meeting the Chantecaille family in the early 2000s. It was then that he discovered Les Carmes: the place’s charm worked its magic instantly. The idea of acquiring a vineyard was not new; however, it had just become a certainty.

Eager to bring the property to its full potential, Patrice Pichet then embarked on a thorough review to unlock the potential of the Les Carmes Haut-Brion estate. But this is not simply a matter of providing new infrastructure: it is, more broadly, the vineyard and the culture of wine that are being reimagined here. The program is ambitious but has only one goal: to give the terroir the attention it deserves.
