About the estate:

A magnificent Chartreuse overlooking the river, Beau-Site boasts one of the most beautiful views in the northern part of the appellation. It is owned by Philippe Castéja, who also owns the Châteaux Batailley and Trottevieille. The estate produces an elegant, distinguished wine that is always full-bodied without lacking finesse or elegance. The estate has reached a new milestone.

About the wine:

The nose is so intensely aromatic, so open and expressive, with generous notes of black fruit. Ripe and fragrant, it is on the verge of being powerful and broad-shouldered. Supple yet tannic, the tannins deliver an immediate impression of licorice, graphite, and coffee—slightly spicy but very stony, with remarkable minerality and a chalky quality on the palate. The tannins are at the forefront, but they are well-integrated, and this wine displays a beautiful overall structure. This wine is striking; there is no doubt that it is robust and not immediately charming, but its style and intensity are quite impressive. A yield of 25 hl/ha. Consultant: Axel Marchal.

A powerful Beau-Site with robust tannins and richness. It remains fresh and vibrant, with intensity and length. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, with great intensity. This wine is very well-structured and will age beautifully.

It returns to our selection thanks to its outstanding success: an incredible fruitiness blending crisp blackcurrant, morello cherry, and bay leaf, with a rich, indulgent concentration and fine tannins that highlight its juicy structure. It’s already a very pleasant wine to taste. Note its low yield, so be sure to keep an eye out for it as soon as it’s released en primeur.

About the wine:

Right from the start, Beau-Site displays character… and grandeur. It seems to signal from the outset that this is a great vintage. It reveals intense notes of blackberries followed by aromas of elderflower and chocolate. The wine is smooth, somewhat creamy, and well-supported by its powerful tannins. These provide structure but are still austere and tend to tighten the finish. Patience will be required, as for now the tannins still tend to mask the finish. The outlook is very promising. 2029–2042

About the wine:

Unusually rich for Beau-Site, this wine is bursting with ripe black fruit, spices, licorice, and floral notes. It is round, fresh, and full of soft, sweet fruit. The finish is fresh and fruity, with hints of licorice and dark chocolate lingering on the palate. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2037.

Deep purple color with violet highlights and an almost black core. An excellent nose of delicate fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry, and hints of elderflower in the background. Subtle spicy and toasty notes. On the palate, ripe yet firm tannins, excellent structure, and good length.
