"The experts are unanimous: superb, excellent—the best vintage ever produced!"
"An excellent Gloria emerges from this remarkable vintage, which, while not a classic, offers depth, concentration, and an abundance of fine tannins. It is also the fullest-bodied and most robust Gloria. It boasts superb intensity and fine, powdery tannins that, together, make this wine appealing and approachable even in its youth, though it is still a bit closed for now. Deep aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, tapenade, and dark chocolate, but if you wish to discover its full complexity and nuances, wait another 4 to 5 years. This great wine, designed to age for the next 20 years, still shows beautiful restraint.” (James Suckling 2025) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and selected shipping method)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Superbly situated in the commune of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle and surrounded by noble peers, Château Gloria is now owned by Jean-Louis Triaud and his wife, the daughter of Henri Martin, its “founder” (just like Château Saint-Pierre). This estate has now fully regained its former glory. Gloria’s wines feature pure fruit and a supple structure, with exceptionally refined tannins. They are true classics of the appellation.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
This estate, which today spans 50 hectares, was built from the ground up starting in 1942 by one of the region’s leading figures, Henri Martin, who for years acquired plots from Grand Cru Classé vineyards in the heart of Beychevelle, as well as to the west and north of the appellation. His daughter Françoise and her husband Jean-Louis Triaud, who managed Gloria and the entire Domaines Martin estate, handed over control of their properties to their son Jean in 2016.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Patiently assembled, plot by plot, in the second half of the 20th century by Henri Martin, Gloria is one of the leading unclassified wines of the Médoc. This reputation is well-deserved, as evidenced by the latest vintages. Always full-bodied, colorful, and concentrated, the wine has rarely disappointed over the past decade. It ages harmoniously, but those in a hurry can enjoy it as early as five years after bottling.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100
About the wine:
Gloria 2022 boasts a complex and captivating nose: black fruits, blueberries, and pleasant estuarine aromas, almost reminiscent of seaweed. The oak is well-defined and perfectly integrated. The palate, with its beautiful structure, features supple tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a full-bodied finish, while retaining superb precision and great finesse. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London. 2030–2055

With its perfect balance of elegance and intensity, this Gloria is worthy of an "Ave" and two "Pater." A floral, powerful, and complex nose. A dense and long finish. A great wine at a fair price.
