“A vintage to remember!”
“With a very floral and delicate bouquet, the 2019 Talbot is a captivating, fresh, and delicate wine. Notes of blackcurrant, flowers, peony, rose, and blackberry. The tannins are superbly velvety, with a very pleasant hint of blackcurrant bud on the mid-palate, leading to a finish marked by tension and an airy freshness. A Talbot that will go down in history. ” (Anthocyanes - Yohan Castaing 2020) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and selected shipping method)

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2020 guide) 95-96/100
Rated estate (2022 guide): 4 stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the wine:
Full-bodied on the palate, with a richness of texture worthy of its greatest vintages; long, generous notes of licorice that reveal grapes picked at perfect ripeness; beautiful oak; a classic wine that could serve as a model for defining the most original and purest expression of its appellation.
About the estate:
This estate, one of the most deservedly popular in the Médoc, is still owned by the Cordier family. It produces a substantial volume of wine, which has gained in character and definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal Saint-Julien: generously aromatic, very consistent, and reliable for aging. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and lively, continues to be produced under the Caillou-Blanc label. The intelligent winemaking, guided by Stéphane Derenoncourt in a skillfully modernized fermentation room and cellar, is bearing fruit.

About the wine:
Tasted from the barrel. This rich, spicy, and smoky wine features generous tannins that balance the blackberry flavors. The structure is already impressive, displaying both maturity and density, which bodes well for aging.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2022 guide) 95/100
About the wine:
Aroma of redcurrants and ripe plums with hints of violets and other flowers. Full-bodied with firm, polished tannins. Pure fruit with a lovely mid-palate. Give it at least 5 or 6 years to develop. Best after 2026.
Terre de Vins
Wine rated (2020 guide) 95-96/100
About the wine:
The ruby color gives way on the nose to herbaceous and minty notes. On the palate, the attack is very smooth—a welcome introduction to Saint-Julien—gentle, balanced, and delightful. The salty finish is enticing. Talbot plays it classic.
