“Along with Château Rieussec, the 2010 Suduiraut is a contender for the best Sauternes of the vintage. It offers a superb bouquet with an immediate sense of completeness and harmony, featuring layers of botrytized fruit, apricot blossoms, peach skin, and marmalade. It’s powerful but not flashy. It doesn’t need to be. The palate is balanced with a viscous attack. There is plenty of botrytis here, good acidity, and tremendous weight on the finish.” (Wine Advocate – Robert Parker) • Delivered in a wooden crate for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding “Point Relais” delivery method) •

Wine rated 17.5/20 (Top-rated wine)
Rated (2020 Guide) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and around the world)
About the wine:
Rich, toasty, smooth, impressive—still a bit heavy-bodied—leaning more toward Barsac than Sauternes. Great potential.
About the estate:
The estate now produces the exceptional wines that its terroir allows, with consistent quality and a complex yet carefully curated range of first and second wines, as well as two remarkable dry wines. It’s hard to choose between the sweet second wines—Lion, which is a bit more modern and exuberant, and the more classic Castelnau—because both are made without compromise, with a lovely roasted character from the grapes. Among the dry wines, S has a bit more density than the standard dry. Only Yquem manages to do just a tiny bit better, especially when it comes to aging.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2014 guide) 2** stars (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
During the reign of Henry IV, Suduiraut was a medieval castle known as the “cru du Roy.” After being destroyed by fire during the Wars of Religion, it was rebuilt in 1670, resulting in the magnificent château we know today, surrounded by gardens designed by Le Nôtre. Much like the castle itself, this wine—fresh, full-bodied, and powerful—embodies order, robustness, and balance while avoiding any sense of austerity. Very elegant throughout the tasting, perfectly balanced, powerful, rich, and round, enlivened by a healthy freshness that extends the finish, and subtle in its aromatic development (flowers and white fruits, caramel, brown sugar, candied and toasted notes), it is already very enjoyable while showing serious potential for long-term aging.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Wine rated (2012 guide) 19/20 (Exceptional)
About the wine:
The liqueur is certainly rich, but it is elegantly balanced by the crispness of the fruit and the tartness of the citrus. The nose is intense and powerful, with lingering notes of tobacco, truffle, amber, and candied fruit.

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
This vast estate was acquired in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a complete nectar, very slow to age, and which, in great vintages, borders on genius. The latest vintages have reached a very high standard.
