“After Yquem, this is THE standout success of the vintage. A powerful, spirited Sauternes that’s not to be missed! ~ La RVF”
“The 2017 Château Suduiraut is composed of 94% Sémillon and 6% Sauvignon Blanc. It features botrytized notes of citrus honey, orange blossom, white flowers, and caramelized peach. These notes give rise to a full-bodied Sauternes that is beautifully pure and precise, with good acidity, perfect balance, and fabulous fruit purity. It is an exceptional Sauternes. ” (Jeb Dunnuck 2020) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and selected shipping method)

Rated estate (2020 guide): 5* Stars (Exceptional producers who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and around the world)
About the estate:
The estate now produces the truly great wines that its terroir allows, with perfect consistency and a complex yet carefully considered range of first and second wines, as well as two remarkable dry wines. It’s difficult to choose between the sweet second wines—Lion, which is a bit more modern and exuberant, and the more classic Castelnau—because both are crafted without compromise, featuring a lovely roasted character from the grapes. Among the dry wines, S has slightly more density than the standard dry wine. Only Yquem manages to do just a tiny bit better, especially in terms of aging.

Rated Estate (2020 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the wine:
After Yquem comes the vintage’s standout success: a powerful, spirited Sauternes with a wine of great purity that beautifully showcases the character of the Preignac terroir. Not to be missed.
About the estate:
This vast estate was acquired in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a well-rounded wine that ages very slowly and, in great vintages, borders on genius. The most recent vintages have reached a very high standard.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 97/100
About the wine:
Just as impressive as it was in the barrel, the 2017 Suduiraut is simply dazzling. Pineapple, orange zest, crème brûlée, white flowers, honey, apricot, and hazelnut are just a few of the many nuances that unfold in the glass. Rich and heady, yet wonderfully vibrant, the 2017 is shaping up to be a breathtaking Suduiraut. The 140 grams of residual sugar are very well integrated. Only fruit from the last two harvests was used in the Grand Vin. 2025–2047

About the wine:
Yum! Aromas of orange blossom, lemon cream, dried apricot, and cooked pear fill the glass. Full-bodied and very smooth, yet tangy and lively thanks to its vibrant acidity. Extremely long finish. Best in 2025, but already a real pleasure to taste.

About the wine:
What a complex bouquet! It’s clearly young and intense, yet also complex. I detect notes of nougat and caramel, as well as pleasant fruity notes with hints of apricot and peach. Finally, hints of peppermint highlight its freshness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, elegant, smooth, and lively. A wine with character that has the potential to age for several decades and is well worth the wait. An authentic Sauternes! 2027–2070
