"Praised by critics, this is the Chablis Premier Cru Favorite have in your cellar!"

" Favorite new Favorite Charly Nicolle after the one he won last year for his "simple" Chablis Ante MCMLXXX 2022. This remarkable cuvée opens with toasted notes on the nose, reflecting the fact that 20% of it was aged in oak barrels. The palate is much more expressive: lively, full-bodied and fleshy, it combines citrus fruits, very present throughout, with the minerality of the terroir and a mellow woodiness. A wine that is sunny, powerful and taut. 2028-2035" (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

We have been following this estate for some time now and are delighted with Charly Nicolle's serious approach and steady progress. Working the terroirs of Fleys, including the two premier crus Les Fourneaux and the easternmost part of Mont de Milieu, he produces a small range of wines with great density on the palate, bringing out the minerality specific to each cru. This is a sure bet for the sector.

About the estate:

Charly Nicolle's great-grandparents were already growing grapes. Following in the footsteps of previous generations, the young winemaker embarked on his own adventure. Based in Fleys, east of Chablis, he created his own estate in 2011, carefully tending his 17 hectares of Chardonnay vines, and has established himself as a reliable producer in the Chablis region. He also runs the family estate of La Mandelière.
