"If whites are tending to supplant reds in Chassagne, it's a pinot noir that puts this estate in the middle of the Morgeot vineyards in the limelight, for a wine made from a plot adjoining the winery. The jurors praised the wine's deep purple color, its intense nose with hints of ripe cherry and blackcurrant, and its frank, generous attack, which opens onto a fleshy, well-structured palate: all the assets needed for happy aging". Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2016 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (2016 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
The estate was founded by René Lamy (Hubert's son), who bought land in Chassagne and Saint Aubin. He set up an estate which he passed on to his daughter Florence and son-in-law Sébasien. The latter have been at the helm for the last four or five vintages, while never forgetting the advice of the previous generation.

About the domain :
In 1977, René and Thérèse Lamy created this estate, a sure bet in Chassagne and Saint-Aubin. Their daughters Florence (in 1997) and Karine (in 2004) now manage the 15ha of vines with their respective husbands, Sébastien Caillat (in the vineyard) and Daniel Cadot (in sales).

Wine rated (2016 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
A family-run business par excellence, Domaine Lamy-Pillot cultivates 14.5ha with a series of fine plots in Chassagne-Montrachet. Now run by one of the daughters, Florence, and her husband Sébastien, an oenologist (they have also set up a 2-hectare micro-domain), the domaine produces beautiful, clean, modern whites that show great consistency. Karine, the eldest daughter, and her husband Daniel, distribute the wines and market a selection of Burgundy estates.

Not up to its name. Disappointing q/p ratio.
