"What a wonderful floral scent!"

“It stands out for its very pure nose and a crystal-clear, fresh yet well-balanced fruit on the palate, with notes of lemon pulp. A refined and delicate white wine, as straight as a line, yet with depth on the mid-palate and a pronounced salinity.” (Le Guide RVF 2024)

Winery rated 1*Star (A high-quality, recommended production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Emmanuel Giboulot is one of the pioneers of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy. He works his soils with the aim of imparting their minerality to the wines, and after a few years of this effort, the results are becoming apparent. His wines are taut yet refined, so they should be cellared until their full complexity is revealed.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 91/100

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Green Guide (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

It stands out for its very clean nose and a crisp, fresh, yet well-balanced fruitiness on the palate, with notes of lemon pulp. A refined and delicate white wine, as straight as a line, yet with depth on the mid-palate and a pronounced briny quality.

About the estate:

This estate is a staunch advocate of a personal stylistic vision for its wines. Soft and easy to drink, never overly extracted or oaky, they offer a striking natural fruitiness; with the whites, one sometimes gets the impression they’re just barely within the sulfur limit. A pioneer of biodynamics for thirty years, Emmanuel Giboulot made headlines in 2013 and 2014 after being convicted—and later acquitted—for refusing to treat his vines against flavescence dorée.
