Domaine du Roc des Boutires - Aux Bouthières 2018
93/100
Robert Parker
The 2018 Pouilly-Fuissé Aux Bouthières also performs well, offering a complex bouquet of pear, Meyer lemon, fresh bread, nutmeg, and apricot. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, elegantly textured and incisive, it is bright and well-balanced, with a sly depth at its core and a penetrating, delicately saline finish. It will benefit from a few years in the cellar." (Wine Advocate 2020 - William Kelley) A great white! Please note that quantities are limited.

Rated estate (2021 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
The Parinet family, owners of Château du Moulin-à-Vent, acquired this 4.2-hectare estate in the village of Pouilly in 2016. Management, from the vineyard to the winemaking, has been entrusted to Brice Laffond, who is already in charge of their property in Beaujolais. Their vineyard consists mainly of old vines, cultivated organically without certification. The first vintages suggest that this is one of the leading estates of tomorrow, the emergence of a new and serious competitor in the Mâconnais region. The 2017 vintages were featured in the previous edition of our guide alongside the wines of Château du Moulin-à-Vent. Vers Cras, Chailloux, and Bouthières will logically be among the future premier crus of Pouilly-Fuissé. The 2018 vintages continue the upward trend in quality at this young estate, beautifully illustrating their terroirs with well-adapted aging.
