"A Pouilly-Fuissé Village that is as brilliant as it is harmonious—perfect for enjoying at the table or letting age for a while in the cellar!"

"The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé La Grange Murger offers a very balanced bouquet, blending aromas of yellow fruit with subtle mineral notes, enhanced by a hint of sea spray. The palate is fresh and lively, with pronounced acidity and granite-like accents, leading to an almost austere finish that lingers on the palate. This wine exudes a sophistication that should allow it to age well. 2025–2035” (Vinous 2025)

Rated estate (2021 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

The Parinet family, owners of Château du Moulin-à-Vent, acquired this 4.2-hectare estate in the village of Pouilly in 2016. Management—from the vineyards to winemaking—has been entrusted to Brice Laffond, who is already in charge of their property in Beaujolais. Their vineyard consists mainly of old vines, cultivated using organic methods without certification. The first vintages suggest that this is one of the leading estates of the future, the emergence of a new and serious competitor in the Mâconnais. The 2017s appeared in the previous edition of our guide alongside the wines of Château du Moulin-à-Vent. Vers Cras, Chailloux, and Bouthières will quite logically become future Premier Crus of Pouilly-Fuissé. The 2018 vintages continue the qualitative ascent of this young estate, beautifully showcasing their terroirs through well-suited aging processes.
