“A distinguished Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru with an elegant profile—a true favorite!”

“A Blanc de Blancs that has garnered significant attention in recent editions. Made from a blend of wines, half of which were aged in oak, it features the 2020 vintage supplemented by one-third reserve wines drawn from a solera system. Without being overpowering, the oak contributes to the complexity of its aromatic profile, blending yellow fruits, candied citrus, and honey with hints of mint and chocolate. A balanced, full-bodied, and persistent champagne, whose low dosage highlights its freshness.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the estate:

The estate was founded in 1962 by André Robert, the son of a winegrower, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Since 2018, the estate—which boasts a vineyard of nearly 14 hectares—has been managed by the founder’s granddaughter, Claire Robert, and her husband, Jean-Baptiste Denizart. Here, the base wines are often aged in barrels, and all cuvées are cellared for at least three years. The estate is HVE-certified.

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Wine rated (2025 guide) 91/100

Rated estate (2025 guide) Recommended (Recommended)

About the wine:

Like a springtime stroll through the forest after the rain, the nose combines notes of the undergrowth with floral scents of lily of the valley, followed by the comforting aroma of a tart (apple or rhubarb, your choice) upon returning. This indulgence is reflected in a full-bodied palate, enlivened by a touch of acidity that brings freshness and keeps the palate engaged right through to the finish. A slight chalky note emerges at the very end.

About the estate:

It was in Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, that Hubert Robert (grandfather of the current owner) founded the first cooperative of winemakers in the 1930s to press and vinify their harvest together. In 1960, André Robert purchased the current estate, which features chalk cellars dating back to the 19th century. Chardonnay is the heart of the estate; the wines are aged in barrels on the lees with bâtonnage and bottled late. A collection of older vintages is available.
