Champagne Tarlant
The family-owned Tarlant Champagne House has a 14-hectare vineyard in the heart of the Marne Valley in Champagne, comprising 55 plots spread across the villages of Oeuilly, Boursault, St-Agnan, and Celles-les-Condés. The soils are primarily composed of chalk, limestone, sand, and small pebbles.
Committed to environmental stewardship, the Tarlant Champagne estate, led by Benoit Tarlant, has adopted a dynamic and sustainable approach to vineyard management, promoting biodiversity and the development of microorganisms. High-quality care is thus provided throughout the year: the use of organic fertilizers, green manure, and organic compost; grassing of the plots; and the manual harvesting of healthy grapes at perfect ripeness, respecting the unique character of each of the estate’s terroirs. This pursuit of natural expression extends to the winemaking and aging of Tarlant Champagne, where dosage is kept to a minimum.
