"Floral, fresh, and well-balanced, the 2013 Mauro is far less concentrated and oaky than some previous vintages; it is more transparent and precise. The wine is round with a lovely freshness, and lighter than other vintages. On the palate, it is fresh with a nice balance and good acidity. Regular Mauro drinkers looking for power and concentration may be disappointed, but those seeking a more approachable Mauro will be delighted by this 2013. One month less in the barrel compared to previous vintages, for a maturation process that better respects this lighter vintage.” (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

About the wine:

Floral, fresh, and well-balanced, the 2013 Mauro is far less extract-heavy and oaky than some previous vintages; it is more transparent and precise. The wine is round with lovely freshness, and lighter than other vintages. The palate is fresh with a nice balance and good acidity. Regular Mauro drinkers looking for power and concentration may be disappointed, but those seeking a more approachable Mauro will be delighted by this 2013. It spent one month less in the barrel compared to previous vintages, resulting in aging that better suits this lighter vintage.
