Notes: Guia Penin 93/100, Robert Parker 92/100
“For the 2009 Pujanza, 70% of the Tempranillo grapes come from Valdepoleo. The nose is well-defined, rich in mineral, plum, and raspberry notes that balance the oak nicely. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with fine tannins on the attack. This is not a powerful 2009, but it offers the elegance and tension one would expect, especially on the finish, which is taut and features a hint of white pepper. Still a bit young, it will need another year to round out in the bottle.” (Wine Advocate – Robert Parker, August 2012)
