Prima 2013 is a blend of Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) and Grenache. 2013 was a cooler vintage, which resulted in slower ripening of the grapes in Toro. With a brilliant ruby color, the nose is fresher and earthier, offering fresh vegetal aromas with notes of red fruit and minerality as the wine opens up; these hints of graphite, peat, and other nuances are reminiscent of a classic Bordeaux wine.
