"Produced from vines located just outside this modern estate with wooden exterior panels and clean architectural lines, at the foot of the La Morra hill, this wine is Ratti's best known and also its largest production, with 70,000 bottles produced. The 2019 Barolo Marcenasco shows the benefits of a stylistic overhaul that favors understated elegance and finesse. The wine is noticeably leaner and opens with ethereal tones of blue flower, dried cherry, blood orange, and chalky mineral. These small tweaks have opened an exciting new chapter for Marcenasco." About wine:
This Barolo is defined by the purity of its tart red fruits, which blend with more delicate aromas of dried flowers and savory spices. The palate is robust and structured, with a solid core of ripe cherries mixed with dried tea leaves, ending with a vibrant acidity.

About wine:
La Morra. Medium ruby with orange highlights. Nose of red fruit, still a little reserved but already complex. Tight red fruit with firm but ripe tannins. For now, it is a little austere and needs more time, which this wine richly deserves. 2026-2038

Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended
About wine:
This wine is very refined and integrated, with lots of ripe tannins that are well blended into the wine. Flowers, strawberry, and dried orange. A hint of candied strawberry and watermelon as well. It lacks a little depth in the mid-palate, but everything else is there. Drink after 2026.

About wine:
The 2019 Barolo Marcenasco is spicy and fragrant with notes of cinnamon, fresh leather, red cherry, and clove. It is expressive on the palate, with notes of wild berries, cedar, and forest floor, and a ripe, well-balanced structure. Drink between 2025 and 2040.
