Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
As with the 2017 vintage, Laura Brunelli will not be releasing Riserva. Instead, the Olmo vineyard that usually forms the backbone of the latter, is an important element of this annata Brunello, making it a pleasant and complete wine. Mint, lavender and fennel dominate the nose, while sweet, succulent persimmon and crisp pomegranate provide the backdrop for the palate, and the chalky tannins are rather sneaky. Accessibility is superficial, but substance intrigues and structure suggests even more. 2023 - 2033

About the wine:
This red wine, with notes of cherry and raspberry, also offers flavors of eucalyptus, minerals, earth and almond. Vibrant and balanced, it has an intense, gourmet finish. Best from 2025 to 2042.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
The darkly seductive 2018 Brunello di Montalcino bursts from the glass with a mix of crushed plums and black cherries, complemented by nuances of rubbed sage. The texture is soft and deep, engulfing the palate with ripe wild berries and spice, underscored by herbaceous steak. A network of fine tannins lingers, creating a truly classic impression, while mentholated herbs and wild strawberry notes linger on and on. This youthfully masked beauty will only need a modicum of cellaring to come into its own. 2025-2033
