Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

From the San Polino vineyards, located in the northeast, on clay-loam soil. Exuberantly youthful and full of charm, the 2019 vintage unfolds with aromas of violet and balsamic herbs with oily notes. It has a medium-bodied profile, while bursting with wild fruit. A hint of orange peel is enhanced by lively acidity. As it opens up, savory and iron-like notes emerge. Promising, but needs time to come together. Firm, clay-like tannins mark the finish. 2026–2036

Wine rated (2023 guide) 17,5/20

About the wine:

A deep ruby color with brick-red highlights. An intense and alluring nose of cherry, with notes of exotic spices. The palate is lively and long, marked by aromas of juicy cherry that are just beginning to unfold, as well as fine, enveloping tannins. Beautifully balanced, but the wine still needs to soften; it’s best to wait a while. 2026–2038
