Benanti

Benanti
The estate Benanti can be described as inseparable from Etna, the Sicilian volcano well known for its strong wine-growing history. Indeed, this mountain has slopes offering a multitude of terroirs and absolutely unique soil and climate characteristics. It is for this reason that the house Benanti was "born" on this volcano in order to bring out all its magic and richness by bottling it since 1734.
Over the years, it has risen to become one of the greatest estates in the Etna appellation, producing wines of excellence that express all the character of this unique volcanic terroir. Benanti cultivates and enhances the native grape varieties: the most famous is Nerello Mascalese, but also Nerello Cappuccio for red wines and Carricante for white wines.
Benanti brings out the best of this region, and this is fully apparent during tastings: a marvel of Etna.

"Benanti's winemaking history is inextricably linked to that of Mount Etna. Indeed, the hard work and excellence of the wines produced in this historic estate have propelled this little-known region of Sicily to the forefront of the wine world. Benanti wines are among the best produced on the volcano today." Monica Larner, Italian critic for Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate
