"Taste the typical Trousseau grape variety

"Redcurrant, strawberry, cherry and undergrowth form an open, powerful nose. The fruitiness continues on the palate, which is structured but not excessive, with a dominant impression of freshness." (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

This is one of the largest estates in the Jura, with 65 hectares of vines spread over the Arbois, Côtes du Jura and L'Étoile appellations. The range, which includes numerous cuvées of all types of wine (ouillés, sous voile, crémants, macvin, paille and jaune), with a majority of whites, was reputed to be complete but uneven, with some fine Gems in the older vintages. The wines are regaining a certain unity of quality.

Guide Hachette des vins

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2026) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About the wine:

Sulfite-free vinification using indigenous yeasts, with pre-fermentation cold maceration for 3 days and a 17-day vatting period. 10% of the cuvée is aged in old barrels and foudres for 7 months. Redcurrant, strawberry, cherry and undergrowth form an open, powerful nose. The fruitiness continues on the palate, which is structured but not excessive, and dominated by an impression of freshness.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 91/100

Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the wine:

the reds have progressed in purity and brilliance. Witness the limpid 2023s, still reserved but with a relaxed character, close to the fruit.

About the domain :

The Arbois appellation owes much to Domaine Rolet. Although over the years it has managed to preserve its own style, a combination of classic Jura craftsmanship and technical mastery, the domaine has not always achieved homogeneity across its range. Wines typified by maturation under sail (in particular Arbois yellow wines) are the most consistently successful. In spring 2018, the estate and its vineyards were acquired by the Devillard family, well known for their Burgundy production, along with other shareholders. Under the aegis of Cédric Ducoté the latest vintages show increased stylistic assurance and more consistency, we are delighted.
