“Made from Gibi, an ancient and forgotten grape variety, this white wine will surprise you with its rich flavor, delicacy, and lively acidity.”

“Gibi is an ancient grape variety rediscovered among the fabulous plant heritage of Vivien Roussignol’s grandfather. Blended here with white and gray Grenache, it offers notes of citrus and thyme, with a full-bodied palate that finishes with a mouth-watering sensation.” (La Revue du Vin de France – May 2024) Discover this wine full of surprises!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2025 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

This young winery is run by two agricultural engineers, one of whom is a former director of a Fitou winery who took over the family vineyards after they left the cooperative. Following the generous 2016 vintage and the outstanding 2017 vintage, we noted the exceptional quality of the 2018 vintage, a benchmark wine for schist terroirs. With the 2019 vintage continuing this impressive momentum, we are happy to award it a third star.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2025 guide) 2*Stars (Outstanding wine)

About the estate:

Vivien Roussignol and Marie Toussaint started out in 2011 with just one hectare of bush-trained vines grown on schist-rich hillsides. They have gradually expanded the vineyard, focusing on old vines and preserving a rich heritage of grape varieties (about twenty today). The 12 hectares have been in the process of converting to organic farming since 2019.

About the wine:
