“The nose is dominated by aromas of black fruit, toast, smoke, earth, and spices, which carry through to a full-bodied palate with silky tannins. A flavorful and precise finish. Made from organically grown grapes. Ready to drink now or for aging.” (James Suckling 2023).

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Award-Winning Wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
Like many estates in the Corbières region, Pech-Latt has monastic origins: the estate was once part of the nearby Lagrasse Abbey, whose vineyard is first mentioned in 784. Located at the foot of Mount Alaric, this vast estate (340 ha, including 160 ha of vineyards) has been farmed organically since 1991. Lise Sadirac is currently the estate manager of the property, which is owned by the Burgundy-based Louis Max group.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
5-Star Rated Estate (Outstanding Production)
About the estate:
At the foot of Mount Alaric, the Pech-Latt vineyards—certified organic—are planted on limestone and red marl soils. This requires a lot of work, as the estate spans over 90 hectares, with a diverse mix of grape varieties that gives pride of place to Carignan and Grenache Noir, as well as the white Marsanne. After destemming—except for a portion of the Carignan grapes—the musts undergo extended fermentation, followed by aging in tanks or, for certain old vines, in oak barrels.

A deep garnet color with purplish highlights. The nose is surprisingly complex, with aromas of garrigue. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, and well-structured, with notes of gingerbread enhanced by a hint of vanilla. The elegant, well-integrated tannins lend this premium wine great delicacy."
