Clos des Nines - Coteaux du Languedoc Obladie 2021

Clos des Nines - Coteaux du Languedoc Obladie 2021

spicy
smooth
hard cheese
Half-mourning chicken with truffles

This gourmet white wine fully captures the essence of the Fabrègues terroir in a distinctly southern blend (White Grenache, Roussane, Vermentino, Viognier). It opens with a round, rich palate and intense aromas, followed by a spicy finish. This wine pairs beautifully with poultry in a creamy sauce and mushrooms.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1 star (A high-quality, recommended wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Le Clos des Nines is located in Fabrègues, in the Hérault region. Isabelle Mangeart manages this nine-hectare estate, which specializes in wine and olive production. Following a cool 2015 and a warmer 2016, the 2017 vintage of L’Orée strikes a superb balance between the full-bodied texture provided by the grapes’ high ripeness and a welcome freshness.

About the estate:

In 2002, Isabelle Mangeart, a sales manager at a multinational food company, decided to change careers and built Clos des Nines from the ground up; the name is a nod to her three daughters (nines, in Occitan). The 10-hectare vineyard, a single contiguous plot, is nestled amid the garrigue and olive groves between Sète and Montpellier.
