Between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, the vineyard of the City of Carcassonne benefits from a dual climatic influence with the alternation of two winds: a warm, humid Mediterranean breeze tempered by the Cers, a dry, temperate Atlantic wind. This harmony produces fresh, fruity, elegant wines that are typical of the terroir.
The wines of Carcassonne are made from both Mediterranean grape varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, etc.) and Atlantic varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc.).
