Between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, the Carcassonne City Vineyard benefits from a dual climatic influence, with the alternating effects of two winds: a warm, humid Mediterranean breeze tempered by the Cers, a dry, temperate wind from the Atlantic. This balance produces fresh, fruity, and elegant wines that are characteristic of the terroir.
The wines of the Cité de Carcassonne are made from a blend of Mediterranean grape varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, etc.) and Atlantic grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc.).
