Notes: Gold Medal at the International Wine Challenge, Gault Millau 15/20, Bettane & Desseauve 14.5/20, Guide Hubert 4.5/5
A cuvée crafted by Luc Baudet and Louis Mitjavile, an exceptional winemaker at Tertre Roteboeuf (Saint-Émilion) and Roc de Cambe (Côtes de Bourg). An intense nose revealing notes of roasted coffee, dark fruit (blackberry, blueberry), and graphite; a full-bodied and rich palate, yet with a freshness that prevents any heaviness. A beautiful bottle!

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated estate (2012 guide): 3 stars (Very high quality production)
About the estate:
“Luc Baudet had the audacity to settle in this region, which is still heavily influenced by the cooperative. With a deep attachment to the Costières de Nîmes, he made his home at Mas Neuf. The richness of the terroirs allows him to offer three types of cuvée: Rhône Paradox, focused on the freshness and purity of the fruit; Compostelle, the result of careful selection from old vines, as well as grapes from the best plots. And finally Armonio, born from a collaboration with Louis Mitjavile (Tertre Roteboeuf, in Saint-Emilion, notably).”

A real treat! A prime example of modern winemaking with oak aging—and so successful! Will there be more?
