Domaine de l'Aster - Languedoc Pézenas En Montant La Calade 2022
2*Étoiles
Hachette
"An expressive wine, marked by beautiful intensity!"
“A wine that’s often in the spotlight, born from the basalt scree terroirs of Pézenas. The Grenache Noir (71%) clearly thrives here, as evidenced by this sun-drenched red that exudes aromas of black fruit jam, leather, and pepper. The same richness emanates from a vigorous palate, surprisingly fresh, infused with garrigue and mocha, and enlivened by tannins that still cling to the palate. What energy!” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the estate:
Coming from a long line of winemakers, Jacques Bilhac—joined in 2003 by his brother Alex—manages 30 hectares of vineyards, most of whose grapes he supplies to the cooperative winery. In 2014, the brothers built their own winery and withdrew 7 hectares from the cooperative to produce their own wines.
